THE EXPERIENCE
Live in a lodge in the Amazon rainforest with up to 30 students
Eat 3 meals per day of Ecuadorian cuisine cooked by local staff
Daily hands-on workshops and activities to learn about and directly contribute to regenerating ecosystems and communities
Participate in engineered bamboo construction technology research with VT prof. Jonas Hauptman
Topics: sustainable architecture and engineering, environmental design, natural resource management, agri-food systems, regenerative agriculture, ecology and conservation, socio-environmentalism, and more.
Learn from local field experts: bamboo master builders and architect, hydrology and soil science expert, and more
Build a bamboo structure (start to finish) to support local communities
