We feel strongly about minimizing cost barriers to our various courses and programs to make them accessible to students from all backgrounds. For this reason, we intentionally list our programs at only about 50-60% cost for other similarly organized international programs. In the past 10+ years of running organized programs through coastal Ecuador, our student alumni have organized this Fundraising Packet as a compilation of successful methods that hundreds of our students used to fundraise 50-100% of their program cost.
UA Scholarship Opportunity
The University of Alabama is able to give $800 scholarships to ten UA students to travel during Summer 2019 or Winter 2019-2020 Sessions. This scholarship is designed for students who embody exceptional levels of drive, passion, and commitment to prioritizing environmental and social regeneration in their personal and professional endeavors. Higher consideration will be given to students of lower-income backgrounds, those who are innovative and ambitious in mindset, and those who show how they will directly apply the skills, knowledge, and experience gained from RFI courses. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, attend the University of Alabama, or be previously involved in a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program at another university.
